​For more than 45 years, Holbeck Construction has helped clients build their dream homes—whether they’re starting from the ground-up or remodeling. We have earned a reputation as a hands-on, quality builder through our dedication to clear communication, budget management, and client satisfaction. Our experience includes many styles and sizes of homes with a majority of them on the waterfront of Camano Island and surrounding areas.

Our Process

Over the decades, we’ve learned a thing or two about making the home construction process as streamlined, efficient, and low-stress as possible. Building a new home or remodeling your existing home should be a fun and exciting experience—and we’re here to make that happen!

Planning

Plan review, estimation, & budgeting

To kick off your new build or remodeling project, we’ll start by conducting a thorough review of your architectural plan, complete with a building estimate and budgeting schedule.

Material selection with designer

Choose the gorgeous finish materials that will make your house a home! Most of our clients appreciate the help of a designer for this stage. Let us know if you need a recommendation!

Site planning and permitting

Leave the site planning and permitting process to us! We’ll work with local building authorities to get your plans signed off as quickly and efficiently as possible!

Site Work

Site logging and clearing

Once your plans are approved, we’ll start clearing your lot for building. Throughout the entirety of your project, we stay attentive to the sensitive nature of building on an island!

Demolition and grading

We’ll remove unwanted structures from the property and grade your lot to your engineer and architect’s specs.

Install utilities

Utility installation comes next including storm, drain field, water, and electric.

Construction

Foundation and framing

This is where things get exciting! We’ll pour your foundation, build walls, and install roof trusses.

Siding, roofing, and windows

Next up is exterior siding, roofing, and window installation. We’ll get your home dried in—which is crucial to get done in a timely manner here in the Pacific Northwest!

Interior and exterior trim-out

Flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting… it all starts coming together when we install your finish materials.

Decks, outbuildings, and driveway

With the house built, we turn our attention to finishing outdoor structures such as decks, outbuildings, and installing the driveway.

Punch List

Final inspection and occupancy

Once we get the final sign off from the local building authorities, we hand you the keys and you can move in!
